Our Hampden studio sits in the middle of 36th Street's shops and cafés, so plenty of clients fit a Brazilian between brunch and a browse. Others come straight from work at Hopkins or a run around the Druid Hill reservoir. (If you've just worked out, give your skin a shower first; we'll take it from there.)

A Brazilian here covers front to back: the bikini line, the labia and between the cheeks. Prefer to keep a strip or a triangle? Tell your esthetician when you sit down and she'll shape it once. We use hard or soft wax and choose based on your skin.

First time? Come in with about a quarter inch of growth, roughly two weeks after shaving. If you're sensitive or had a rough wax somewhere else, say so up front and we'll go at your pace.

Finding us in Hampden

We're on West 36th Street, the stretch of Hampden locals call The Avenue, between the coffee shops, vintage stores and restaurants. Druid Hill Park and the Rotunda are a few minutes away, and Johns Hopkins' Homewood campus is close by.

Clients come from Remington, Roland Park, Medfield, Woodberry and Charles Village, and from across the city in Federal Hill, Fells Point and Canton.

Parking: There's no free parking at the studio. Plan on metered street parking along 36th Street or the side streets, and give yourself a few extra minutes on busy weekend afternoons.

How long it lasts and when to rebook

Most clients stay smooth for 3–4 weeks. Rebook every 3–4 weeks to stay on rhythm, and with regular visits the regrowth often comes back finer.

Threading is offered at our Baltimore and Perry Hall studios, so you can add brow threading in the same stop.

Aftercare

Skip heat, heavy sweat and sun for 24 hours, and hold off on exfoliating for 24–48 hours. Loose cotton is your friend on day one. Your esthetician will go over it before you leave.

Brazilian wax FAQs

Can I get a Brazilian on my period?

Yes, you can. Come in wearing a tampon or menstrual cup and we'll take it from there. Your skin can be more sensitive around your cycle, so it may feel a little more intense than usual. If you'd rather wait a few days, you can move your appointment online.

Can I get waxed while I'm pregnant?

Yes, and congratulations! Hormone changes can make your skin more sensitive, so tell us you're pregnant when you check in. We'll keep you comfortable and help with positioning as we go. If you're in your last two months, check with your doctor before you book.
